In 2010 the Cotton Bowl switched it's playing venue to the newly built Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Cotton Bowl had tie ins to the now defunct Southwestern Conference for forty years but is now affiliated with the Big 12 and Southeastern Conferences.
