Georgia Bulldogs first started playing football in 1892. The team was a founding member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA), and then moved the Southeastern Conference in 1932. The Dawgs face some of the most difficult competition in the SEC's Eastern Division. Georgia is annually one the most competitive teams in all of college football. The Bulldogs have 2 National Championship's in 1942 and 1980 and have produced two Heisman trophy winners in Frank Sinkwich (1942) and Hershel Walker (1982). The Gameday atmosphere in Sanford Stadium in Athens,GA is unrivaled. Clearly, a day in Athens at Sanford is one of the most picturesque places to enjoy football in even the rich tradition of the South. Watching a game "Between The Hedges" is an unforgettable experience. Georgia faces numerous rivals in the Auburn Tigers (the Oldest Rivalry in the South), Florida Gators (World's Largest Cocktail Party), and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (Clean, Old Fashioned Hate).
