In November of 1959 the Boston Patriots were named the 8th and final franchise of the original developing American Football League. The team changed its name to the New England Patriots after relocating to Foxborough, MA in 1971. After a decade of of playing at four different sites, including Boston University Field, Harvard Stadium, Fenway Park, and Boston College Alumni Stadium, the team selected Foxborough as its home. Their new home field, Gillette Field, was opened in 2002. Under coach Bill Belichick the Patriots (also known as the "Pats") won three Super Bowls in four years and finished the 2007 regular season with a perfect 16-0. With the help of quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Wes Welker the Patriots look forward to an outstanding 2011 season. Buy your Patriot tickets now. Go Pats!
